The Devils defenseman had a monster home opener against the Red Wings, tallying a goal and five shots. Tonight, he faces a perennial bottom-feeder in the Arizona Coyotes, so there is no reason he cannot duplicate Thursday’s performance. Dougie will have plenty of opportunities, and the Devils should spend some solid time on the Power Play. Let’s ride Dougie’s hot hand with this first Underdog pick ‘em and press the Higher Than on 3.0 shots.
Jake Guentzel Higher Than 3.0 Shots
I have always enjoyed watching Jake Guentzel play hockey. It’s just a shame that he does it in a Penguins shirt. Jokes aside, the Penguins visit the Capitals on Friday, and that’s a place where Jake loves to get it going. In 2022, he peppered the Caps with 12 shots across three games and registered four shots in Tuesday night’s opener. We’re going to play the trend with this pick ‘em and go Higher Than on Jake Guentzel 3.0 shots.
Reilly Smith Higher Than 2.0 Shots
Fresh off last year’s Stanley Cup win with the VGK, Reilly Smith looked hungry in his Penguins debut. He tallied four shots against the Blackhawks and was a bit unlucky not to have added a goal. The Penguins Capitals rivalry always provides plenty of excitement and bunches of goals. Reilly should find himself on the Malkin-Rakell line, and that bodes well for opportunities to put pucks on net.
