The adjective “Spursy”, and its derived noun “Spursiness”, denotes a certain fragility in the team that consistently fail to live up to expectations and crumble within sight of victory. It is synonymous with Tottenham Hotspur, but it was United who were Spursy last Thursday – ironically against Tottenham themselves – which is hugely concerning as we look ahead to the FA Cup Final against Manchester City.
