College Basketball Picks 2-4-23

The guys (@GamblingPodcast) give out their favorite college basketball picks in this college basketball predictions 2/4/23 podcast.

More college basketball! Saturday has some exciting games and some historic rivalries squaring off. This will be a great opportunity to win some money!

We start off with a big Virginian battle between Virginia and Virginia Tech. Tech is coming off a close to Miami this week but played well. Virginia is playing clean basketball as they move the ball around well and play their sound, historic defense. Virginia Tech may have been looking ahead earlier in the week, but now they are here hosting their rival.

Kansas is -1 on the road against Iowa State. State as a dog is always attractive, especially at home, but Kansas has looked really good in wins against Kansas State and Kentucky. They could be in a letdown spot after these big wins.

Michigan State plays Rutgers at MSG in a rematch where Rutgers had lost at home. State is well rested and has had good guard play this season. Rutgers has also played well but historically, Michigan State owns them.

Texas Tech meets with Baylor with Baylor laying -8 at home. Tech is only 1-8 in the Big12 and Baylor has been dominant at home this season. The points might be a lot, but Baylor can handle it.

Tennessee and Auburn will be battling in the homes of Tennessee. Auburn has struggled on the road and is +9 for a reason. They are 4-3 on the road while Tennessee is 10-1 on the road.

TCU and Oklahoma State as TCU plays another one without one of their best players. The Cowboys are -1 at home against the Horned Frogs and should get the job done. However, TCU has proved they can score even without their best player.

Illinois visits Iowa who is -2.5 at home. Illinois has been playing strong after fixing some chemistry problems, but Iowa is dominant at home. Although, Illinois has been strong as they have won 7 of their last 8 games.

Clemson hosts Miami as a -1.5-home favorite. Clemson’s Brendon Galloway had an issue with his manhood and will be out most likely for this one. This game will have some major ACC tournament implications and the loss of Galloway could be huge.

Purdue travels to Indiana as 1.5 favorite on the road. Purdue just dogged Penn State by 20 but Indiana shoots the three-ball well and grabs offensive boards at a good clip. Edey will have something to say about these offensive boards and will limit any paint presence for Indiana. Better guard play could be the difference here.

Texas is favored by 1 point here against Kansas State. There is a fear Texas could be looking ahead to Monday night but they could also be seeking revenge as Kansas State was the only team to beat them at home this year.

Another installment of the historic rivalry between UNC and Duke will transpire on Saturday. UNC spoiled Coach K’s retirement twice last year, and should be seeking revenge. Duke has yet to lose at home and UNC has been terrible on the road. With a line of Duke -3, Duke should cover as long as they can control their fouling. If Coach K is in the building, the Blue Devils could get roaring.

Florida heads to Kentucky with the home team favored by 3.5 points. In classic fashion, Kentucky knows how to always get on a run right around now during their season for the past 10 or so years.

Gonzaga faces off as an underdog against St. Mary’s. This number could be higher than 5 and to give Mark Few and the Bulldogs this many points in what should be a close game is dangerous.
