Super Bowl Odds + NFL Conference Championship Recap
The guys (@GamblingPodcast) announce the Super Bowl odds for the Philadelphia Eagles vs the Kansas City Chiefs. Plus they recap both conference championship games.
Finally. The game of all games has its participants. The Super Bowl will be featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles physically beat up the 49ers, knocking both Brock Purdy and back up Josh Johnson out of the game, and running all over them. Devonta Smith made a smart decision to pretend like he caught a ball he really didn’t, outsmarting Kyle Shanahan. Regardless of score, it felt like the Eagles dominated the game almost the whole time.
The Chiefs were able to right the ship against the Bengals, edging out a close win with a late field goal from Harrison Butker off a late hit penalty as Patrick Mahomes ran out of bounds. Both games have sour fans complaining about the refs over questionable calls and missed calls, but the outcome is set.
To get to this point in the playoffs, both teams started off with a bye. The Chiefs faced the aspiring Jaguars and a resilient Bengals squad. On the other side, the Eagles went through the Giants and the 49ers pretty handedly. Many are saying the Eagles had too easy of a road to get here even though they did dominate their road.

Mahomes played very strong despite his hurt ankle. For the Eagles, their running game was hot between Hurts, Sanders, and Gainwell. Both pass rushes had quite a day though, especially Haasson Reddick and Willie Gay. With two weeks to prepare, it will be interesting what Andy Reid can cook up against his former team. Perhaps he may pull out some big backs like Ronald Jones and Melvin Gordon to help penetrate the Eagles front.
Despite all the success this year, it seems as though the public just doesn’t believe in the Eagles. As a starter this year Jalen Hurts is 16-1 and Head Coach Nick Sirianni was 5-0 against all the Coach of the Year Candidates. Hurts has his chance at Super Bowl MVP, but he has been overlooked for Regular Season and MVP, and the guy taking the spotlight will be across the field from him in two weeks. They will certainly still have a chip on their shoulder even in the biggest game.
Super Bowl Odds: Eagles -2, Eagles -135, Game Total O/U: 50
The line originally opened up as the Chiefs as 1 point favorites, but it has already bounced. The line will probably continue to bounce up and down but never get past 3 for either side. Essentially, betting the spread is just picking who you think will win the game either way. Both these teams have powerful offenses, but their defenses as well are strong as they showed in the conference championships. For this, the under on 50 looks interesting as it has already slid down slightly.
Both quarterbacks were clearly fighting through pain and will heavily benefit from the two week break as well as other key players such as Lane Johnson and Travis Kelce. Whoever can recover the best in this time just might be the winner of this one.
The show will be in Arizona this week on Thursday and will be free for all listeners, stop by!
