Happy June Fantasy Baseball Fanatics! It is an honor to present the SGPN June Trade Value Chart!
Here is the breakdown
This was designed for a 6×6 category league accounting for hitting stats of AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB, OPS, and pitching stats of ERA, WHIP, W, K, SV, QS.
1. Stats were broken down into per-game averages to level out player contributions in each. Risk factors like injuries, unproven rookies, aging players, and outlier seasons were set aside for now.
2. Per-game averages were given a 1-10 scale to assign a grade. Maxing out the top of each scale helped prevent skews (e.g. Judge’s biscuit rate). Here are the ranges.

3. Category grades were added up. This was done across 4 periods: 2018-2021 | 2021 | 2022 thus far | 2022 ROS Projections. Existing stats came from FANGRAPHS. ROS Projections for Hitting from ZiPS and Pitching from Steamer. Periods were then averaged with equal weight to assign a trade value.
4. Opinion came into play. Value adjustments were made to account for the mentioned risk factors . . . and alas! The final Trade Values were calculated!

One important note
This chart values players against each other 1-to-1. Don’t expect to buy Corbin Burnes for a couple of 23-point players. It is reasonable to up-charge the most valuable player by 50% in a 2-for-1.
