Quarterbacks
Kyle Sloter looks banged up, and it’s easy to tell that as the season has progressed it has taken a toll. Sloter only completed 50% of his passes for no touchdowns and yet another interception. He now has a -2 touchdown to interception ratio. Zach Smith once again saw increased action and had a stellar performance going 5 for 6 passing with a touchdown and a QBR of 141.7. Zach Smith won’t pass Sloter on the New Orleans Breakers depth chart, but his late push is impressive.
Running Backs
Jordan Ellis led the team in carries and added another touchdown to his tally for the season. Anthony Jones continues to creep up closer to Ellis as he receives more touches and his workload increases. At this point, Ellis is unlikely to be passed for the RB1 job on the New Orleans Breakers depth chart, however, it will be interesting to see how the two backs are used in the playoffs with Jones being the fresher runner.
Wide Receivers
With one regular-season game left to play, a change at WR1 could be on the horizon for the New Orleans Breakers depth chart. Jonathan Adams Jr. is in striking range of Johnnie Dixon who has been at the top of the position for the majority of the season. Adams has managed to slim that gap to only eight fantasy points with one game left to play. A strong performance could put him in the WR1 seat at the end of the Week 10 game.
Tight Ends
Sal Canella led the way in receptions for the Breakers once again this week. He’s the clear cut TE1 and despite his very low floor from a fantasy standpoint, he seems to have a very high ceiling on boom weeks. This week was another boom week as he added yet another receiving touchdown. The next closest TE on the New Orleans Breakers depth chart is 76 fantasy points behind, so it appears to be a done deal with one week to play.
