NFL Week 13 Referee Report

We just finished Week 12 on Wednesday with the AFC North showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers. My leans for the referee stats report for Week 12 went a perfect 4-0. Of course, these NFL referee stats are not my only handicapping tool but it was a great data points to have. Let us dive into Week 13!

NFL Referee Stats Week 13 Leans

Craig Wrolstad

Wrolstad is one of the handful of referees who has officiated 11 games. Home teams have a 64%-win percentage in Wrolstad officiated games. However, home teams are 3-8 against the spread. The penalties count is almost dead even between the home team and the road teams. Lastly, Wrolstad games average a total of 54 points per game thus resulting in the Over being 7-4.

Lean: Giants on the Spread

Scott Novak

I have mentioned Novak a few times in previous posts. As a result, Novak makes a strong case for an Under bet every week. Thus far, in 10 games officiated by Novak the Under is 7-3 averaging a total of just 44 points per game. Furthermore, home teams are averaging only 19 points per game. Novak is assigned to the AFC South divisional game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans. Currently the total sits at 51.5.

Lean: Colts/Texans Under 51.5

Tony Corrente

Similarly, to Scott Novak, Corrente is another referee who favors the Under. In fact, Corrente has an 8-2 record to the Under. Furthermore, road teams are averaging just 23 points per game in the games he has officiated. Corrente home and road splits are dead even as both the home team and road teams have won five games each. Lastly, Corrente will be officiating the Buffalo Bills vs San Francisco 49ers game on Monday Night Football. The posted line as of
today is Bills -2.5 with the total sitting at 48.

Lean: Bills/49ers Under 48

Shawn Hochuli

The NFC West showdown between the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals will be officiated by Shawn Hochuli. As a result, this may not bode well for the Arizona Cardinals. Home teams are 3-7 Straight up and 3-7 against the spread. Lastly, Hochuli has called 13 more penalties on the road team compared to the home team.

Lean: Rams -2.5
