Prop Bets For Sunday Night Football: Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs

I expected last week’s Sunday night game between Dallas and Philadelphia to be a competitive game, but it turned into a blowout. The Cowboys humiliated the Eagles 37-10, and it could have been even worse.

We should have a much better matchup this week between Kansas City and Green Bay. We were all hoping for a duel between Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes, which won’t happen due to the knee injury suffered by Mahomes. Unless these teams meet in the Super Bowl they are not scheduled to play again until 2023.

It’s unfortunate that Mahomes is out with an injury, but this is still a great game between two of the top teams in the league. Here are my top prop bets for Sunday Night Football at Arrowhead.

Matt Moore Over 19.5 Completions (-113)

Moore is a quality backup quarterback, who has a career 15-15 record as a starter and has 12 years of experience. After a full week of practice getting first team reps, I think he plays an efficient game. Moore has some of the most explosive weapons in the NFL at his disposal as well. I expect Moore to go over 19.5 completions Sunday Night.

Aaron Jones over 65.5 Rushing Yards (-113)

The Chiefs will be without two starting defensive lineman as Frank Clark and Chris Jones will miss the game with injuries. Kansas City struggles against the run to begin with allowing 148 yards per game. This probably means a heavy workload for Aaron Jones who has 399 yards and eight touchdowns this season. The Packers should be able to run the football especially against a depleted Chiefs defense.

Green Bay More First Downs (-188)

I think Green Bay will have the advantage on both sides of the ball. Along with the injuries on the defensive side of the ball, the Chiefs will also be missing two starting offensive lineman. This will limit their ability to run the ball and handle the Packers elite pass rushers. Besides the injury to Davante Adams the Packers are relatively healthy at this point in the season. Green Bay will be able to control the ball and win the time of possession battle thus gaining more first downs in this matchup.

LeSean McCoy At Least 3 Receptions (+141)

McCoy has been targeted 17 times with 15 catches this season and I expect a few more targets against Green Bay. With the absence of Mahomes, look for Andy Reid to try and slow down the Packers pass rush with the screen game. McCoy is averaging a little over two receptions per game and has been great in the passing game during his career. McCoy will have the opportunity to make some explosive plays in the passing game.
