Sunday Night Football Prop Bets: Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints

Sunday Night Football Prop Bets: Dallas Cowboys vs New Orleans Saints

The Cowboys were able to shutdown the Saints last season in Dallas, which ended the Saints 10 game-winning streak. This season, the rematch is in New Orleans with both teams posed to make another run to the playoffs. The Cowboys are currently undefeated, yet still a mystery due to their schedule to start the season. The three teams they’ve played have a combined one win between them.

This will be the Cowboys first test of the season and it’ll be a challenge even without Drew Brees under center for New Orleans. Below are a few of my favorite Sunday Night Football prop bets for this key NFC matchup Sunday Night.

1. Teddy Bridgewater – Over 221.5 Passing Yards – (-115)

Dallas has a talented defense and will challenge New Orleans Sunday night in the Superdome. Both games Bridgewater played this year were on the road and he didn’t reach 200 yards passing in either game. I believe with each practice and each game rep he will feel more comfortable with his receivers and Sean Payton’s offense. With the Saints’ offensive weapons and home field advantage, I think he goes over 221 yards passing.

2. Ezekiel Elliott – Under 84.5 Rushing Yards – (-115)

Dallas has a strong rushing game, and New Orleans has not defended well against the run giving up over 134 yards per game. I can easily see Elliott having a big game, but I think New Orleans will play well defensively. There is also the potential of Tony Pollard stealing a few carries from Elliott. The Saints defense will do all they can to stop the run and force Prescott to beat them with the passing game.

3. Alvin Kamara – Over 5.5 Receptions – (-120)

The Cowboys only give up 90 yards a game on the ground, and the Saints are 19th in the league in rushing yards per game. New Orleans will struggle with the running game and will need to get the ball to Kamara using their short passing game. Sean Payton will want to get Bridgewater comfortable early in the game against the Cowboys defense. The most efficient way to accomplish that is with some easy passes to Kamara to help keep the Saints in manageable third down situations.

4. Randall Cobb – Over 3.5 Receptions – (-110)

With Dallas missing Michael Gallup, this should be a game that sets up nicely for Randall Cobb. Due to the crowd noise and pass rush, Dak Prescott will want to get the ball out quickly and Cobb should be the beneficiary of some quick targets. Cobb has had huge plays negated by penalties the past two weeks, which shows Prescott is starting to look his way.
