I finally give in that you’ll never lose a game again and will sweep the 2026 World Series, then you bumble away the Game 4 win with three outs to go (my Toronto Blue Jays did you one better last year, though). For my World Series Game 5 best bet, we’re headed back to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Let’s get this money!

Milwaukee Brewers vs Tampa Bay Rays

Notice in my opening diatribe I didn’t admit defeat, and I didn’t say I’ve given up on the Milwaukee Brewers. It took the Tampa Bay Rays all they had – including seven different pitchers – to win a game in the World Series finally. It was a nice moment for the franchise. But the party ends on Wednesday in Game 5.
That’s mostly because the Brewers’ pitching situation is all set for Game 5, while the Rays are going to have to use their taxed bullpen once again to carry them through the game. Milwaukee is set because they can send ace Jacob Misiorowski to the mound to start on his normal amount of rest. ‘The Miz’ has allowed only four earned runs in three postseason starts (13.1 innings) and struck out 14. And, most importantly, the Brewers have won the last 12 games that the young righty has started.
Milwaukee on the moneyline is my best bet for Game 5.
