MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 27th
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Tampa Bay Rays
First Pitch – 8:00 pm EST

After a quick break from the YRFI plays, we’re back on one for Tuesday’s potential series clincher. There’s reason to be optimistic about scoring chances in both the top and bottom of the first inning. In the top half, Griffin Jax will be on the bump. He hasn’t been all that effective this October. He’s given up four runs in just 6.0 innings of work. In addition, he’s walked three and given up six hits. Facing a Brewers team that just scored ten runs and has a chance to close this out – it feels like some early scoring is in the works.
In the bottom of the inning, the cause for optimism is mystery. Milwaukee still hasn’t announced a starter for Tuesday, which is likely due to the fact that they don’t want to rush anybody back with a lead like this. Using an opener in a game that is largely seen as a throwaway for them should open up scoring chances for the Rays as well.
