Football Pick of the Day (October 8th): NFL Week 5 Prop Bet
Denver Broncos vs San Diego Chargers
4:05pm – Sunday – October 11th
Bo Nix has not exactly been lighting things on fire from a passing yard perspective. He has gone over his total for Week 4 just once all season and has been more than 30 yards under it twice. If those numbers don’t instill confidence, you might be asking why the books have it lined there. The reason is the low expectations on the Chargers. However, I actually think that hurts Nix’s chances to put up big numbers.
The Chargers have been dreadful this season – there are no two ways about it. Because they have been so bad, opposing teams have not needed to throw the ball much against them. Not once have they allowed 221 yards to an opposing quarterback this year and only twice have they allowed more than 200 yards.
The Broncos have a bit of a mix-and-match run game, but that actually serves itself to more volume. Look for them to get out early and then for Nix to relax well below this line.
