After a hectic and crazy UFC Vegas 121, the UFC heads back on the road for UFC 332. The card takes place in Salt Lake City and has a much criticized main event for the flyweight title. While people aren’t completely excited about Natalia Silva and Cong Wang duking it out for the vacant flyweight belt, there are tons of bangers on this card and it’s sure to have the crowd on its feet.

Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC 332
UFC Middleweight Fight: Court McGee vs Eric Nolan
Start Time: Saturday (10/3) 5:00pm EST (Paramount+)
The prelims will play host to a retirement fight for a 16-year UFC veteran. Court McGee made his UFC debut in 2010 on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs Team Ortiz Finale. He won the TUF crown that night via rear naked choke over Kris McCray and is still doing the thing a decade and a half later. He’ll face an up-and-comer looking to grab his first win in the UFC in Eric Nolan.
While Nolan has shown glimmers of something on the feet, his takedown defense leaves something to be desired. His debut fight with Baisangur Susurkaev saw him putting in work on the feet. When Susurkaev didn’t like what he saw, he quickly took him down and subbed him. In Nolan’s second fight, Farman Hasanov took him down 17 times and tallied over 11 minutes of control time.
While McGee is not the same guy who won the Ultimate Fighter, he can still grapple. We saw that when he took down Tim Means and choked him out. Overall, he is 11-4 in the UFC when he records at least one takedown. Given that Nolan is averaging allowing 9.5 takedowns allowed per fight, McGee should be able to get there.
