The 2026 WNBA Playoffs have come around just in time for me, because baseball hasn’t been kind to my best bets the past few days. So let’s hit the hardwood. Best Bet for Sunday (Sept 27th): WNBA Playoffs Predictions
Washington Mystics vs Atlanta Dream
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
For the first time since 2023, the Washington Mystics are in the WNBA Playoffs. Not only that, but the team’s 28-16 record in the regular season was their best mark since they won their only WNBA Championship back in 2019. Unfortunately, all that wasn’t good enough to get the Mystics home court advantage in the playoffs, so they find themselves on the road in Atlanta to face the 30-14 Dream.
And more bad news for Washington – I’m expecting them to lose Game 1 on Sunday night. Posting back-to-back 30-14 records, the Dream are looking to advance past the first round for the first time since 2018. And a win tomorrow night would go a long way to acheiving that, as the first round of the playoffs are best of three affairs.
After crunching all the requisite numbers, I’ve come up with the line of Atlanta -8.5. That would make the Dream on the spread my best bet for Sunday.
