Boston Red Sox vs Texas Rangers

Start Time: 8:05 PM EST

The Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers continue their three-game series in Arlington tomorrow night, with the home side leading Game 1 as of this writing. The Rangers need every win they can get at this point, as their playoff chances sat at 23.5% heading into Tuesday night’s action (the Red Sox are a lock to see the postseason).

And I’m going with another underdog play for my best bet tomorrow, in this case, the visiting Red Sox at even money. Boston is the superior team this season, eight games better in the win-loss column and a full run per game better based on advanced stat ratings. They are also assassins away from Beantown, posting a 44-31 road record, the third-best mark in the majors.

While Boston’s Wednesday starter Jake Bennett allowing six earned runs in 5.1 innings in his last start gave me pause, he’s up against Texas’s MacKenzie Gore, who has allowed nine runs over his past two starts (seven innings).

Boston, as a live dog on the moneyline, is my best bet for Wednesday.
