We only have a couple of weeks left in the MLB regular season, and because of the expanded playoff format, 26 of the league’s 30 teams are still mathematically eligible for the postseason. For my best bet for Tuesday (Sept 15th): MLB Predictions, we’re off to Daikin Park in Houston, Texas, where two of those playoff-chasing teams meet up. Let’s get this money!
Best Bet for Tuesday (Sept 15th): MLB Predictions
Kansas City Royals vs Houston Astros
Start Time: 8:10 PM EST
To be clear, the 66-84 Kansas City Royals could still potentially make the playoffs, mathematically, but that isn’t going to happen – they’ll be eliminated very soon. Their opponents tomorrow, the 75-75 Houston Astros, are pretty much a lock to see postseason action, currently sitting in the catbird seat (aka, first place) of the terrible, no-good American League West Division.
This series against the Royals comes at the perfect time for the Astros, as they’ve been slumping, losing three straight games and four of five (KC has dropped back-to-back games and four of their last six). It also helps the Astros that they get to play this series at home, not because they are good at home (they’re not, sitting at 37-38), but because the Royals are 27-48 away from home, the fourth-worst mark in the majors.
This all makes the Houston Astros on the moneyline my best bet for Tuesday.
