NFL Week 1 is finally here! & boy do we have a ton of action to attack opening weekend. Instead of betting traditional spreads, we are going to build a three-leg teaser using six points. Our teaser moves the Lions from -6.5 to -0.5, the Jaguars from -8.5 to -2.5, and the Eagles from -5.5 to +0.5.

NFL Week 1 Teaser
Detroit Lions -6.5 to -0.5
The Detroit Lions open their season at home against the New Orleans Saints. I love the Lions in this spot. Detroit only needs to win by one point after moving from -6.5 to -0.5. The Lions have advantages all over the offensive side of the ball against a young Saints defense. Teasing the Lions through the key number of three makes Detroit a great option.

Jacksonville Jaguars -8.5 to -2.5
The Jacksonville Jaguars welcome the Cleveland Browns to the great state of Florida for their week 1 matchup. Moving Jacksonville from -8.5 to -2.5 means the Jaguars only need to win by a field goal. Jacksonville also benefits from playing at home in the Florida heat and humidity. The Browns defense is good but losing Myles Garrett is a huge loss. & most importantly, the Browns are starting Deshaun Watson who is not good at playing QB.

Philadelphia Eagles -5.5 to +0.5
The Eagles battle in-division rival, the Washington Commanders at home in the afternoon slate Sunday. Teasing the Eagles from -5.5 down to +0.5 allows the Eagles to lose by one point and still cover. This adjustment creates the perfect protection just in case we see a close divisional game. Haven’t liked what I’ve heard out of Washington during the summer. Jayden Daniels is great and can do incredible things but he can’t do it by himself.
