This weekend brings us the fourth incarnation of Noche UFC, the promotion’s event celebrating Mexican Independence Day. While the days of this event being a card packed with title fights appear to be over, Saturday’s main event should at least deliver some fireworks. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: Noche UFC, I’ve got a live dog in Saturday’s co-main event. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: Noche UFC
UFC Fight Night: Silva vs Delgado (aka Noche UFC)
Start Time: 2:00 PM EST
We have a couple of former Mexican UFC Champions on the undercard of Saturday’s Noche UFC, including in the flyweight co-main event, where two-time champion Brandon Moreno faces former The Ultimate Fighter winner Joseph Morales. I’ve gone back and forth on this fight, but I’ve settled on the dog, Moreno.
If Morales was a younger fighter (he’s the same age as Moreno) and/or a heavy hitter, I’d worry for Moreno in this fight. But Morales likes to grapple, as does ‘The Assassin Baby’. This is a massive step-up in competition for Morales, and I don’t think he passes the test this time.
