College Football Week 1 Reaction Show Recap
The College Football Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network continues its 2026 season coverage with a full college football Week 1 reaction show. Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD) and Rob Donaldson (@RobDFB) break down the wild Western Michigan vs Michigan finish and the clock call everybody is screaming about, LSU burying Clemson in Death Valley, Boise State pushing Oregon to the wire, Auburn surviving Baylor 17-16, and the FCS chaos that saw Idaho State stun Utah State and Tarleton State take down Bowling Green.

The night started with the finish in Ann Arbor. Western Michigan appeared to survive the final play, and then the clock ruling took the upset off the board. Colby called it the worst call in the history of college football. Meanwhile, Rob reached for the Armando Galarraga stolen perfect game as the only fair comparison. Later in the show, the guys turned the Big Ten’s replay statement into a bigger argument. In their view, the fix is simple: put the referee on a microphone and let everyone hear the explanation.
From there, the guys worked through the heavyweights. LSU walked into Death Valley and buried Clemson, which also buried Colby’s Clemson tickets on both the spread and the money line. Meanwhile, Boise State pushed Oregon to the wire, and Rob argued the Ducks lose that game by double digits on the blue turf. Auburn escaped Baylor 17-16 in a game that swung on Baylor chasing two. However many times the guys ran that decision back, they could not talk themselves into it.
Then came the chaos window. Idaho State picked off Utah State into oblivion for the stunner of the weekend. Tarleton State went on the road and beat Bowling Green. Somehow, Charlotte lost to The Citadel in three overtimes. West Virginia only got past Coastal Carolina by a touchdown, and Colby still talked himself into his Mountaineers win total over on the strength of Rich Rodriguez. On the flip side, Pitt hung 59 with seven different players catching touchdowns, and Nebraska handled Ohio cleanly. Still, the guys wanted another week before fully trusting the Rhule-aid.
In the end, Colby took his victory laps. Tulsa smacked Oklahoma State, which keeps his Golden Hurricane win total and American title futures alive. Meanwhile, he doubled down on his summer New Mexico position even with Jack Lane lost for the year, because he believes Luke Moga raises the ceiling in Albuquerque. The guys closed with game balls: Rob went Western Michigan, Idaho State and Tarleton State, while Colby went LSU, Tulsa and New Mexico, then sweated UNLV, Nevada and the UCLA-Cal over into the night. Simply put, Week 1 delivered everything except a quiet finish.
