I’m getting really crazy with my first home run play, and I’m going with the Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. I know, I know – an improbable pick.

PCA has ensured that last year’s second-half slump was a one-time thing, as he’s been on fire all season for the Cubbies. That includes a (tied-for) major league best six dingers over his past 10 games, bringing him up to a career-best 39 for the season.

Athletics vs Seattle Mariners

Start Time: 9:40 PM EST

The balls should be flying off the bat and over the fence for the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night as they host the Athletics, for a couple of reasons. First, the A’s allow the second-most home runs this season. Additionally, the visitors send Jeffrey Springs to the mound to start tomorrow, and he’s allowed 33 ding-dongs, tied for the most in the majors.

The Mariners’ Randy Arozarena has taken Springs yard once in his career, and on Saturday night he’s going to add another one (at least) to that total.
