Seattle Mariners vs Toronto Blue Jays
Start Time: 1:37 PM EST
With the Mariners dropping the first two games of the series and falling into dead last in runs per game, it might be hard to muster up the confidence to take them on the road in the finale. However, they have some things working in their favor in this one.
Firstly, a few of their cold bats have started to find their rhythm. Chief amongst them is last year’s MVP runner-up, Cal Raleigh. After putting up laughable numbers all year, he has five homers in five games and has several multi-hit games in that span. If he starts clicking, that could really turn things around for them.
Additionally, they have an excellent pitching matchup in this one. Logan Gilbert made the Blue Jays look silly last time he faced them. He went 7.1 innings and only allowed one hit while fanning seven. He ranks in the top ten of the league in WHIP and top 15 in strikeouts. To add to that, the Blue Jays are once again going to trust Max Scherzer, who is rocking an ERA over 7.00.
Despite all these things in their favor, we can still get them at a very reasonable moneyline price.
