One more sleep before FBS College Football is back in session! The Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland kicks the day off. Bill Belichick and his North Carolina Tar Heels look for revenge after a beatdown by TCU last season. The action continues all day long. While it’s not a full slate as we’ll see in Week 1, it’s a beautiful slate of games to get the juices flowing and the football betting muscles flexing again. Let’s take a look at some of the best College Football player props to bet on in Week 0.
Jordan Shipp 60+ Receiving Yards (+105)
If the Tar Heels want a chance to upset the Horned Frogs, I believe they can do it. Or, if they are behind and trying to catch up, either way, Jordan Shipp will be an important piece in this game for them. He was the Tar Heels’ leader in 2025 in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns.
Shipp was a key piece in last year’s game for the Tar Heels despite the disappointing loss. He caught just four passes on seven targets but tallied up 84 yards in total. Shipp has more College Football experience now, and Bobby Petrino should be a huge upgrade for this offense. His new quarterback, Billy Edwards Jr should target him plenty in this game.
Peyton Lewis 35+ Rushing Yards (-125)
For this next prop, we’re going to go to the Virginia Cavaliers running back room. Jekail Middlebrook is the team’s starter and lead running back, but Tennessee transfer Peyton Lewis has caught my eye at this 35-yard line. The Cavalier coaches have made it very clear they plan to use multiple running backs in this offense, and Lewis is a stud.
At 6’1”, 212 pounds, Lewis is a big, physical runner. He has over 130 carries in the SEC while with Tennessee, and he is a former blue-chip recruit. Virginia returns an extremely experienced offensive line, with over 300 snaps last year. North Carolina State’s Wolfpack lost five of their six defensive linemen who played 300+ snaps last season and their top three linebackers. Their front seven on defense is the biggest question mark for this team in 2026.
Micah Alejado 275+ Passing Yards (+105)
This is my favorite of all player props for College Football’s Week 0. Micah Alejado returns as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors quarterback after a stellar freshman season. He threw for 3,106 passing yards and ranked eighth in the nation in passing yards per game (282.4). He also had a four-game stretch of 300+ passing yards as a freshman.
Stanford, the team he’s going against again this week, had a bad pass defense last year. They allowed the most passing yards per game (288.9) in the entire FBS. Against Stanford last season, he threw for 210 yards, but this year the Rainbow Warriors are underdogs. They’ll need Alejado to bring his A-game Sunday in Palo Alto.
Jayvan Boggs 30+ Receiving Yards (+115)
This sophomore wide receiver is the man I have my eyes on for the Florida State Seminoles this week. The 2023 Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Football was a highly recruited player who was sidelined by injury last season. Now entering year two, there’s been a buzz around him this preseason. Mike Norvell praised Boggs “speed and versatility,” saying he’s a player who can “do it all.” That’s what you love to hear from your coach ahead of the first game. Florida State is a 53.5-point favorite in this game; it’s the perfect time to focus on getting players like Boggs involved.
