Tampa Bay Rays vs Detroit Tigers

Start Time: 6:40 PM EST

I have hit two of my last three baseball bests, so I guess that’s something. And I’ve got a winner for tomorrow that’ll keep the good times rolling. It’s from an American League matchup between two teams headed in opposite directions, the Tampa Bay Rays and the Detroit Tigers.

Actually, that last statement isn’t totally true, as the Rays haven’t been playing that well lately, going on a 3-7 skid heading into Sunday’s action. But they did beat the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday to turn things around a bit. The Tigers, meanwhile, are not turning anything around, dropping five straight and eight of their last nine after showing some life after trading away ace Tarik Skubal.

Things aren’t bound to improve tomorrow for the home side with Framber Valdez on the bump. The veteran lefty has allowed nine runs over his past two starts (11.1 innings). Rays starter Drew Rasmussen was also knocked around in his last outing, but he’s still having a stellar season, leading the American League with a 0.945 WHIP as well as 5.52 SO/B.

This all makes the Tampa Bay Rays on the moneyline my best bet for Monday.
