St. Louis Cardinals vs Cincinnati Reds
Start Time: 12:40 PM EST
I didn’t have to scan very far down tomorrow’s short MLB slate to find a winner – my play comes from the day’s first game, as the St. Louis Cardinals visit the Cincinnati Reds for some National League Central action. The rivals have seen a lot of each other already this season, with the Cardinals leading the season series 7-4 heading into Wednesday night’s action.
This includes taking three of five on the road in Cincinnati, which could increase to four out of six if the Cards keep their current lead as these words are being typed on Wednesday. The Cardinals are actually a better road team (32-28) than the Reds are at home (31-35), so this checks out.
What’s more, St. Louis starts Michael McGreevy on the bump tomorrow, and the team has won three straight and five out of seven when the righty starts. Cincinnati counters with Brady Singer, who allows among the most homers in the league this season.
This all adds up to a Cards victory, in my eyes. St. Louis, on a very modest moneyline, is my best bet for Thursday.
