UFC Fight Night: Hernandez vs Rodrigues
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
When it comes to women’s strawweight fights, my favorite prop play tends to be for the fight to go the distance (or a fighter to win via decision). However, I’m flipping that script this week for Saturday’s opener between Shanelle Dyer and Elise Reed.
Reed is known for her toughness, but she also has been stopped in all five of her career losses. With Dyer being much younger (by nine years) and a much better striker with a definite speed and athleticism advantage, I expect her to get the better of Reed on the feet. And with five of her seven pro wins coming via strikes, the Brit knows how to get the job done with her striking. Whether a knockout on the feet or a finish via ground and pound, I like getting Dyer at plus money to win via strikes.
