I’ve simulated a full season of the game to see how it thinks the season will play out. The bulk of this article will break down the conference champions, where we made a ton of money on our college football futures based on the game last year! College Football National Championship Bets According To CFB 27
The Set Up
Before I jump into who you should place your college football national championship futures bets based on CFB 27, let’s talk about the setup real quick. I did not want random league injuries created by a video game to skew results. Yes, injuries happen in real life. However, injuries are so unpredictable, and I wasn’t sure how often CFB27 would throw injuries in.
CFB27 also gives you two roster options. I went with the active roster. From everything I read, it is supposed to give you the most up-to-date roster. It imports it each time, indicating it’s not just the standard roster that the game came with (even though the game is very new).
I set the quarter length to be 15 minutes. None of this five-minute, quickened version of the game. I wanted the simulation to be as close to a real football game as possible, factoring in possible fatigue at different points throughout the season.
Finally, I took control of a defensive coordinator spot on a team that was 0 stars, and changed nothing else. So we have no injuries, fifteen-minute quarters, and active rosters to base our CFB26 outcomes on. The next step was easy. I just simulated to the end of the season and used that for the results on who the 2026 College Football National Champions were to place our futures bets on, based on the results from CFB27.

College Football Futures Based On CFB 27
National Champions
The EA Sports College Football 27 video game saw Indiana, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, and Notre Dame make the college football playoffs. They were joined by Boise State, Tennessee, SMU, USC, Virginia, and BYU. However, only one team could last to the very end. That was the Ohio State Buckeyes, which are currently +600 to win the National Championship in college football futures and one of my favorite best bets.

Heisman Trophy Winner
This year, the game lists the top four Heisman candidates, rather than the top five. In the first simulation, the final candidates were three quarterbacks and a wide receiver. USC quarterback Jayden Maiava (+2500), Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss (+1300), Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer (+2500), and Miami wide receiver Cam Vaughn (NA).
After one simulation, the winner was Trinidad Chambliss of Ole Miss. At +1300, this is a juicy college football bet to add to your futures portfolio.

Conference Winners
This is where we made our bread and butter last year in college football bets based on the video game. Miami didn’t win their conference last year, but the game did have them in the National Championship game in last year’s simulation. This year, the game sees Miami winning the ACC under a new transfer quarterback. The defense lost some production, but the scheme is so good, I think they’ll be just fine. They’re currently -136 to win the ACC, and the game thinks there’s a good reason they’re the favorite.
Moving to the American Conference, the game thinks Tulane will rise above the rest. At +600, it’s a fun wager to place some money on. They’ll have a tough path with teams like Temple, UTSA, and Memphis also pushing to win the conference. However, after one simulation, the game feels it’s worth your college football futures bet.
The Big 12 is filled with some strong teams. Texas Tech and Kansas State may have a leg up, but after one simulation of EA Sports CFB 27, the game has BYU winning the conference with 11 wins. BYU is +550 to win. They have some tough games against Arizona and Notre Dame, not to mention their other Big 12 opponents.
Moving to the Big 10, I already told you the game likes this team to win the National Championship. Therefore, it’s no surprise they have Ohio State winning the Big 10 with a 9-0 conference record. They’re plus money at +180 to win the conference, and I feel confident despite USC, Indiana, Minnesota, and Penn State all in competition.
Other Conferences
Taking a quick look at some of the other college football futures you could wager after one simulation of a CFB 27 season on the EA Sports video game, here are the other winners. Liberty (+260) wins Conference USA. Ohio (+650) won the MAC. UNLV (+260), now with Boise out of the way, won the MWC. Speaking of Boise (+170), the game has them winning their new conference in the Pac-12.
Georgia (+260) plays in one of the toughest conferences. However, the game sees Kirby Smart leading them to another conference championship. Finally, the biggest upset the game has is seeing South Alabama (+1400) winning the Sun Belt.
