Indiana Pacers vs Minnesota Timberwolves
Start Time – 3:30 PM EST
The day’s first game pits two 1-2 teams, the Indiana Pacers and the Minnesota Timberwolves, against each other. But every 1-2 team is not like the other, as the Wolves have been absolutely blasted in their past two games, while the Pacers have lost close ones.
Neither team’s roster has any players you’ve likely heard of (Jalen Slawson? Zyon Pullin? Anyone?!), but that doesn’t always matter in the summertime. I like the Pacers to win, so getting them plus the points is a bonus.
Best Bet: Indiana +1.5 (-110)
Milwaukee Bucks vs Charlotte Hornets
Start Time – 7:30 PM EST
Now that we’ve had a chance to see which teams are legit and which teams suck, we’re starting to see wider spreads at the books. And the Milwaukee Bucks summer league team definitely sucks.
Going 0-3 with a second-worst -16.6 point differential, the rebuilding Bucks aren’t giving their fans much to be excited about, at least in the near future. But first-round pick Brayden Burries has played well, so there’s that. The Charlotte Hornets and their mix of rookies and veterans will cover.
Best Bet: Charlotte -5.5 (-110)
