France vs. Spain

This game is destined to be a low scoring one. There has been lock down defense on both sides of the ball here. France has given up just two goals all tournament. One was to the high-powered offense of Norway and the other was to a surprisingly good Senegal squad during the first game. Spain, meanwhile, just gave up their very first goal of the tournament to Belgium in the quarterfinals.
I also like it to stay low scoring because both of these teams have had moments where their offense shut down. Spain was memorably shut out by Cape Verde in a shocking draw and had a bit of trouble finding one against Uruguay. France, similarly, had trouble finding the back of the net against Paraguay. If not for Kylian Mbappe finding contact inside of the box, they were headed to extra time.
In addition to going with the under, I do expect France to advance. Not only have they been the best team all tournament, they have more experience up front to eventually find that winner. The aforementioned Mbappe and Ousmane Dembélé both have tallied five or more goals – more than anyone on Spain. Their nose for the goal should help them win one with a close margin.
