NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview for Sunday, July 5th
Golden State Warriors Blue vs Brooklyn Nets
Start Time – 8:00 PM EST
We’ll kick things off in Sacramento and the California Classic. This is the third time (in only three games) that I’ve made a bet on the Brooklyn Nets in this league, and they came through for me on Sunday after failing to cover by half a point in their first game.
The Nets have a strong roster that will be going up against the lesser of the two teams that the Golden State Warriors have in this tournament (the “Blue” team). Brooklyn will cover.
Best Bet: Brooklyn -6.5 (-110)
Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz
Start Time – 9:00 PM EST
Speaking of strong rosters, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Utah Jazz both have them. The Griz are led by #3 draft pick Cameron Boozer, and veterans Cedric Coward, Taylor Hendricks, and Olivier-Maxence Prosper, among others. The Jazz have #2 pick Darryn Peterson and veterans Ace Bailey and Cody Williams.
Memphis has looked better in limited action this summer, thumping the Oklahoma City Thunder by 37 points in their Salt Lake City Summer League debut, so I’m taking them plus the points.
