NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview for Friday, July 3rd

Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

Betting on NBA Summer League games, especially the tip off games where we really don’t have any clue how the teams will look or stack up, is the ultimate degenerate move. So, naturally, I’m all for it.

All you can do at this point is compare rosters and make an educated play off of that info. Even a hardcore NBA fan would have difficulty identifiying more than a couple of players on the Miami Heat’s roster. The San Antonio Spurs at least have Carter Bryant – I know him.

Best Bet: San Antonio -3.5 (-115)

Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors Gold

Start Time – 10:30 PM EST

The host Golden State Warriors have two teams in the league, one playing out of the Bay, and one at the league’s Sacramento site, hence the Gold added to this team’s name. The Gold squad features #11 draft pick Yaxel Lendenborg and veteran Will Richard.

The Los Angeles Lakers team is a bunch of “who dat”, yet they’re favored. I’ll go with the dog in this one, and hope the home court advantage pays off.

Best Bet: Golden State Gold +1.5 (-105)
