Maybe (hopefully) now that the Oklahoma City Thunder are out of the picture, I can start hitting NBA bets again. I’m still going to be up a nice chunk of change for the season even if I whiff on all my NBA Finals bets, but I’d like to build the bankroll up, rather than deplete it. NBA Finals Game 1 Predictions & Preview For Wednesday, June 3rd
New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs
Start Time – 8:30 PM EST
We’re going to party like it’s 1999, as the NBA Finals from that year are being run back this season, with the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs set to kick off the 2026 NBA Finals tomorrow night in the Alamo City. The Knicks and their fans hope this time around they win more than one game (four games, I assume, is preferred).
But I don’t foresee one of those wins coming for New York at the Frost Bank Center on Wednesday night. The young Spurs were a scorching 32-8 at home this season (second-best in the league), and have gone 6-3 at home during their run to the Finals.
We’ll obviously get a better grasp on the series after tomorrow’s Game 1, but at this point I’m favoring the Spurs. My line for Game 1 is San Antonio -6.5, so I’ll take the Spurs on the spread.
