Now that’s more like it. The Oklahoma City Thunder covered the spread in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, and allowed me to cash my bet. Onward and upward from here. Here are your NBA Playoffs predictions and preview for Friday, May 22nd.
NBA Playoffs Predictions & Preview For Friday, May 22nd
Oklahoma City Thunder vs San Antonio Spurs
Start Time – 8:30 PM EST
The NBA’s Western Conference Finals move to San Antonio tomorrow night, knotted at a game apiece. However, as was the case during the NBA’s regular season, injuries have changed the complexion of the series for both teams.
The defending-champion Thunder look like they will be without Jalen Williams once again, as he injured his hamstring, once again, in Game 2. But the team has spent most of the season without their secondary star, and has shown they can thrive without him.
The situation for the Spurs is more dire because they lack the depth that the Thunder does (as does every team in the league). Guards De’Aaron Fox, who has yet to play in the series, and rookie Dylan Harper are both questionable to play tomorrow due to injuries. This is a huge blow for a team struggling to take care of the ball.
If both teams were 100%, I would actually be favoring the Spurs tomorrow night – my line would be San Antonio -1.5. However, that is not the case, so now I’m in on the champ. My line is Oklahoma City -2, so I’ll take the Thunder plus the points on the road.
