Daily NBA Player Props – May 21st
Jalen Brunson – Over 37.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)
Brunson is clearly going to be the focal point of the offense for the Knicks in this series. In Game 1, he took 29 shots. That was not only the game high, but was more than any two of his teammates combined. Even without overtime, he put up 31 points and would have easily covered this line. In the playoffs, he’s also averaging 6.1 dimes per game and 2.8 rebounds. If he were to keep up those numbers, we’d only need about 28 points for this to cash. He’s got that in there.
Jarrett Allen – Over 11.5 Points (-117)
Kicking off this series, Allen came up short of this number with just 10 points. However, if we want to turn the clock back a bit, he was 5-1 to the over in the previous six games. In that span, he averaged 16.8 points per game – including two games in the 20s. His last regular season game against the Knicks was a 19-point double-double. While he might not get that high here, he should be able to crack a dozen.
OG Anunoby – Over 5.5 Rebounds (+130)
This is another spot where we saw a player come up short in Game 1 and I’m just not buying that as a trend. Sure, the bigs of the Cavaliers are going to slow him down a bit, but he hit the over on his rebounds in all six of the opening round games against the Hawks. That series saw him average 8.7 boards. He slowed down a bit and missed some games with an injury, but seemed to look comfortable towards the end of Game 1. I like what that should mean for his rebounding prop in Game 2.
