You can not say that this Eastern Conference Second Round series between the Montreal Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres hasn’t been entertaining. It’s been crazy, including Game 6, when with their backs against the wall and on enemy turf (ice), the Sabres scored seven straight goals to win 8-3.
So it’s come down to a win-or-go-home game in Buffalo tomorrow. But is the game taking place in Buffalo necessarily a good thing for the Sabres? The Canadiens have won two of three in the Queen City this series and split two games in Buffalo during the regular season, making them 3-2 in Buffalo this year.
Historically, the home side has a .584 winning percentage in Game 7’s in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, so I’ll side with the numbers and take the Sabres on the moneyline as a slight favorite.
