Daily NBA Player Props – May 17th
James Harden – Over 19.5 Points (+110)
After seeing this line in Game 6 and cashing on it, we noticed that not only did the projection not move, but the odds also got juicier for us. Harden has not put up this number in three straight games – with a 25.7 average in that span as well. The Cavaliers seem to have realized that in order to win, he’ll need to be a big part of their offense. I expect him to be in the winner-take-all game.
Jarrett Allen – Over 11.5 Points (-121)
While we’re already on one over for points with Cleveland, I think there’s room for a second. The points prop here for Allen is comically low. While he’s only averaging 13.3 points per game in the series, that’s largely due to a two-point performance in Game 1 of the series. Since then, he’s gone 4-1 against this projection and averaged 15.6 points per game. Getting down to 11 would be a huge dropoff and one I don’t expect from Allen here.
Ausar Thompson – Over 6.5 Rebounds (-141)
Sure, there’s some chalk on this one, but it feels like the juice is worth the squeeze. Thompson has hit this number in five of the six games in this series and has a solid run for the whole playoffs as well. He hit the line in six of the seven games of the series with the Magic – giving him a 11-2 record against it. He’s averaging 7.9 boards per game in the postseason and I like his chances of keeping that running here.
