Well, the Atlanta Hawks didn’t cover the spread on Thursday night as I predicted, did they?! Back at it tomorrow. We’re getting at least one Game 7 in the NBA Playoffs, and it’s tomorrow’s lone game on the schedule. Here are your NBA Playoffs predictions and preview for Saturday, May 2nd.
NBA Playoffs Predictions & Preview For Saturday, May 2nd
Philadelphia 76ers vs Boston Celtics
Start Time – 7:30 PM EST
It’s fitting that this Eastern Conference grudge match series between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics is going the full seven games, after the Sixers spanked the Celtics by 13 points in Game 6 in the City of Brotherly Love. Fitting but surprising.
Actually, it shouldn’t be surprising, as Boston has the reputation of playing with their food in the playoffs. And with Philadelphia actually being able to field a fully healthy roster, the talent levels in this series are pretty even, or maybe tilted a bit in the Sixers’ favor.
However, with Game 7 going down in Boston’s TD Garden, I’m going to have to side with the home squad in this series finale. Philly has already stolen two games on the Celtics’ home court this playoffs, which has to be considered an aberration for a team with a 30-11 home record during the regular season.
My line for tomorrow is Boston -11.5, so I’m taking the home side on the spread.
Best Bet: Boston -7.5 (-110)
2025/6 Overall Record: 195-160 (55%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1,563.73
Return on Investment: 4%
