Miami Marlins vs Atlanta Braves
Start Time: 7:15 PM EST
I’m taking a chalkier pick than normal for my best bet tomorrow, but consider it a heat check (a cold check, rather). If I can’t hit a -162 play, then I’m in big trouble.
The game in question is a National League East battle between the top two teams in the division – the first-place Atlanta Braves hosting the second-place Miami Marlins. Not only are the 10-7 Braves the top team in the NL East, but the advanced stats rank them the best team in the majors, 2.5 runs per game better than an “average” team.
With Bryce Elder and his 1.02 ERA and 1.02 WHIP starting for the home side tomorrow, against the 0-2, 6.14 ERA carrying Chris Paddack for the visitors, I like the Braves’ chances tomorrow night.
And, most importantly, I like my chances of breaking out of my rut. Atlanta on the moneyline is my best bet for Wednesday.
