I seem to be winning an inordinate amount of my daily best bets on the NHL in overtime. I’m worried that trend is going to revert to the mean, and I’ve got hard times coming down the pike. St. Louis Blues vs Seattle Kraken
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
We get the rubbermatch between the St. Louis Blues and the Seattle Kraken tomorrow night in the Pacific Northwest, with the teams splitting two earlier games in St. Louis this season. And I’m confused by the moneyline we’re getting for this game.
The analytics site I use lists Kraken as a 65% favorite to win tomorrow night. The Kraken are strong on their home ice, going 16-9-5 in front of their home fans this season, while the Blues’ 8-17-3 road record is the league’s worst.
Seattle scores more goals per game and allows fewer than St. Louis. And the advanced stats much prefer the Kraken overall, rating them 0.71 goals per game better than the Blues. Yet, the moneyline we’re getting them for makes me feel like I’m missing something.
Hopefully not, because Seattle is my best bet tomorrow.
