NFL Championship Weekend Anytime Touchdowns

Davante Adams (+125)

I’ll start the bets for the NFL Championship weekend anytime touchdowns list with Davante Adams at +125. No, Adams hasn’t scored a touchdown in the playoffs. No, Adams hasn’t scored a touchdown in the last four games. However, he’s still a top redzone target for Matthew Stafford, and I feel good about him having a bounce-back game this weekend in the NFC Championship.

Adams played in 14 regular-season games this year and scored 14 touchdowns. That’s not a fluke. He was one of Stafford’s top targets when the offense got inside the 20. He didn’t play against Seattle in December. However, he did play in November against them and scored a touchdown.

Adams is a veteran who may be towards the end of his career, if not in his last year. The same could be said for Stafford. I foresee them winning this game and the veterans coming through in a big way. Honestly, I don’t hate taking Adams’ 2+ touchdowns at +950 as well.

Drake Maye (+240)

Drake Maye is about to have the biggest game of his career and one of the hardest tests this year when he faces off against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship. Maye has proven he can make big plays and put the team on his back. That’s exactly why he lands on my list of NFL Championship Weekend anytime touchdowns.

I know Maye only ran for four touchdowns this season and has only six combined rushing touchdowns over the last two years in the NFL. However, he did run the ball 103 times for 450 yards in the regular season. He’s also had 14 runs for 76 yards in the playoffs so far. The Chargers and the Texans both brought the heat, and Maye wasn’t afraid to take off.

With the Broncos hoping to pull out a miracle now that Bo Nix suffered an injury, they are going to have to rely on their defense. That should lead to a lot of blitz packages and exotic looks, which will force Maye to take off. The way I see it playing out, the Patriots are within ten yards from the endzone. The Broncos bring a blitz, and Maye is forced to take off and weaves his way into the endzone for the touchdown, and we cash our ticket at +240.

Cooper Kupp (+280)

I can’t help but sprinkle just a little bit of action on Cooper Kupp at +280 among my NFL Championship weekend anytime touchdowns. I know it’s risky. Kupp has only scored two touchdowns on the year and has been a complete shell of his former self.

However, Kupp is a veteran who has been in this position before. Not to mention, he now faces his old team. In the ultimate revenge game with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, Kupp will try to help defeat the team he won a Super Bowl with.

Let’s be honest, after watching Kupp’s play this year, I don’t know if he’ll be back. This could be the last hurrah. He hasn’t looked like himself, but he’s still a very solid player who knows the game of football very well. His high football IQ and veteran leadership should allow him to make a big play. Luckily, we’ll be ready to cash in on it.

Colby Parkinson (+320)

Colby Parkinson may not seem like a household name or one you expected on the bet list of NFL Championship weekend anytime touchdowns. However, if you think he doesn’t have a shot to score, you haven’t been paying attention. With the odds at +320, I just couldn’t pass him up.

Parkinson has nine receiving touchdowns in the last eleven games. That’s the most receiving touchdowns by anybody. Not just by tight ends. By any receiver. While Adams seems to have declined a little, as well as when he was battling injury, Parkinson has stepped up. He didn’t get in the endzone against the Bears. However, the prior week in a playoff game against the Panthers, he did.

I expect this game to be higher scoring, even though these defenses are solid. Therefore, I think there may be plenty of touchdowns to go around. Parkinson has become a reliable target for Stafford. He scored a touchdown against the Seahawks in November when they played, and he’ll look to do it again.

Championship Weekend Longer Shot Anytime Touchdowns

There are a few others that I like as long shots anytime touchdowns for the NFL Championship Weekend. One is Jarrett Stidham. Stepping in and making his first start since 2023, Stidham has big shoes to fill. However, Sean Payton and this organization must have liked him, given that they signed him on Day 1 of the NFL Free Agency. Stidham doesn’t have an NFL career rushing touchdown yet. However, he did have nine rushing touchdowns in college. At +410, with so much on the line, I picture him missing a read or a safety valve and just taking off, getting into the endzone

I’ll go from Jarrett Stidham scoring a touchdown right to asking myself, what if he has a terrible game? The Patriots’ defense is not a bad defense by any means. This is the same defense that just forced four interceptions and five total turnovers from CJ Stroud. Certainly, they are capable of doing the same to Stidham. The New England Patriots’ defense to score an anytime touchdown is set at +600. Going against a quarterback that hasn’t thrown a pass in a regular-season game since 2023, they have nice odds on cashing in on that.

Speaking of defenses, my last longshot anytime touchdown bet is the Denver Broncos’ defense at +700. Let’s be honest, the Broncos know this is going to be an extremely difficult game for them to win. However, if they want to have a chance, their league-best defense will need to step up in a big way. Drake Maye threw 18 interceptions this season and fumbled six times. All it takes is one bad throw for Denver to pick him off and house-call it. At +700, I can’t help but sprinkle a little bit on the Broncos’ defense to try and help their team win the game.
