Daily NBA Player Props – January 14th
Tre Jones – Over 11.5 Points (-104)
Jones has come through on this prop in two straight games, which includes a 34-point showing last night against the Rockets. He’s clearly showing signs of taking over the offense with Josh Giddey being out of the fold. Now, he gets a Utah team that is dead last in the league in terms of defense. They are giving up 126.9 points per game and have been even worse than that lately – which should provide plenty of opporunities for Jones to pick up buckets.
OG Anunoby – Over 5.5 Rebounds (+133)
Anunoby is another guy who has been burning past his props lately. Despite having a plus-number next to this one, he has hit it in six of his last nine games. That includes two straight games hitting the over. Much like Jones, he has the perfect matchup to succeed yet again on Tuesday. The Kings rank dead last in rebounding percentage and thow up their fair share of bricks. That should lead to him cleaning the glass with regularity.
Michael Porter Jr. – Over 25.5 Points (-120)
Michael Porter Jr. is one of those names that seems to be underrated every time out just because of who he plays for. While the Nets aren’t a strong team, someone has to score for them. Porter seems to be good for between 20-25% of their overall points every game and it should be no different here. He’s hit this projection in six of the last seven games and the number hasn’t budged at all. Now he gets New Orleans – 28th in points allowed per game with 122.4.
