Daily NBA Player Props – January 13th
Nikola Vucevic to Record a Double-Double (+114)
With Josh Giddey on the sideline for a bit, Vucevic has had to step up. One way that we’ve seen that is his increased presence on the boards. While he was struggling to put up double-doubles earlier in the season, he now has three straight and four in his last five games. Although I know that the Rockets are a good rebounding team, Vucevic is pretty much the only Bull left pulling them down. He should find double figures as a result.
Julius Randle – Over 23.5 Points (-104)
Randle hasn’t been hitting this number much lately at all. In fact, he only has the over on this projection once in the month of January. However, there are some important factors at play heading into Tuesday. Most importantly, the Timberwolves will be without both Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert. That will leave Randle to carry a much heavier load that he has all month, and should lead to this over hitting.
Royce O’Neale – Over 3.5 Three-Pointers (+178)
This is a bit of an udnerdog play for today, but one that I think has a good chance of cashing. To start, O’Neale has hit four or more deep balls in each of his last four games. Not only that, but he has been good for that many in six of his last nine as well. He’ll face the Heat in this one and they have had some struggles with three-pointers this year. They are 27th in three-point attempts allowed with 93.5 per game and 21st in opponents’ makes (13.8 per game). I imagine the sharp shooting Suns will damage those numbers further and I look for O’Neale to be a big part.
