Daily NBA Player Props – January 10th
Rudy Gobert to Record a Double-Double (-105)
In the afternoon game, the banged Timberwolves get the second end of their back-to-back with the Timberwolves. In the first of the two meetings, on Thursday, Gobert put up 11 points to go along with 13 boards. That marked his fourth straight game with a double-double. Not only do I expect him to be able to replicate that, but he has an opportunity to have a bigger role in this one. Julius Randle, who had 11 rebounds and led the team in scoring last game, is questionable with a thumb injury. Even if he were to just play slightly less, Gobert could be the one to pick up the slack.
Nikola Vucevic – Over 34.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-107)
I was in on Vucevic’s PRA when they were scheduled with Miami, but that game unfortunately was postponed due to court conditions. Last time out, Vucevic hit this number without even dipping into the assists. He’s actually done that twice in the last three games. However, that’s not to discredit his passing. Since Josh Giddey went down with an injury, he’s been racking up the dimes as well. He’s averaging 6.3 per game over his last three. If he were to keep that up, he’s not going to need many points to clear this hurdle – especially given that the Mavericks rank 22nd in rebounding percentage.
Anfernee Simons – Over 4.5 Assists + Rebounds (-123)
Getting into the weeds on some smaller numbers like this can sometimes be daunting. However, the trends show this should be a pretty easy one to get after. Simons has logged 25.5 minutes per game this month. More importantly, he’s racked up at least four assissts in four of his last six games. That puts him in a position to need just one rebounds. He’s 6-0 against this mark in that span and should see plenty of burn again against the Spurs.
