Nathan MacKinnon is so good this season that the best odds you can get for him to score a goal tomorrow is -140. His goal-scoring odds are consistently in the negative, which is crazy, but it makes sense – Mackinnon has scored in 18 of the 36 games he’s played this season.
Yet, despite the odds, I’m adding him to my parlay for Saturday anyhow. A winning bet is a winning bet – let’s not get greedy.
Los Angeles Kings vs Edmonton Oilers
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
There’s basically only one other player who has kept pace with McKinnon this season, and it’s his chief rival, the Edmonton Oilers’ Connor McDavid. McDavid is back atop the leaderboard for most goals over his last 10 games, with nine.
McDavid’s 29 goals this year are second only to MacKinnon’s 36, and his goal-scoring odds are almost dipping into the negatives now. We’re getting him for even money tomorrow.
