MYBOOKIE BONUS

Washington State’s Cougars enter this game 6-6, winners of two of their last three games to get to bowl eligibility. They’ll be without their head coach, Jimmy Rogers, who left to take the Iowa State job after Matt Campbell vacated it for Penn State. The Cougars have the opt-outs, cornerback Kenny Worthy, linebacker Anthony Palano, and their backup quarterback, Jaxson Potter. Potter has seen 164 snaps of action this year.

Utah State’s Aggies also finished the year 6-6; they lost two of their final three games. The Aggies only had one opt-out, wide receiver Braden Pegan, who has entered the transfer portal. Pegan was a productive receiver for the team with 60 receptions for 926-yards and five touchdowns.

Utah State Aggies +1.5 (-120)

This one comes down to a few small things. Bronco Mendenhall is the biggest of those; the Utah State head coach is experienced and knows how to get his team up for these types of games. Washington State will try to slow the game down, but Bryson Barnes is an explosive playmaker and will keep this Cougars team on their heels. Once Washington State gets behind, it’s going to be hard for them to keep up. Give me the Aggies in this one.
