Daily NBA Player Props – December 18th
Jalen Johnson – To Record a Triple-Double (+353)
I don’t usually reach for these big props, but Jalen Johnson’s triple-double number is just so juicy. He’s already put up six triple-doubles on the year, and has done so in four straight games. Additionally, it’s not like he’s just squeeking by with triple-doubles. In that four game span, he’s averaging 12..8 rebounds and 13.0 assists. Facing the Hornets shouldn’t hurt matters and I like him to light up the stat sheet yet again.
Pascal Siakam – Over 7.5 Rebounds (+124)
Siakam hasn’t exactly been crushing this number lately, but there are some things I like about this spot for him. Firstly, he is well rested with no game over the last four days. Additionally, the front court of the Knicks seem like they may be poised for a break. After their NBA Cup run, both Mitchell Robinson and Karl-Anthony Towns are both listed as questionable for today’s action. The Knicks are already a league average rebounding team, and that should go down quite a bit if one or both of those two are not good to go.
Dillon Brooks – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (-165)
After a couple of plus-money plays, we come back down to Earth for some chalk. Brooks has been killing this projection – going 6-1 against it in the last seven games. On top of that, Grayson Allen may be out as he is currently listed as questionable. That would free up a couple more deep shots for Brooks in this one. Plus, they get the Warriors tonight, who are fresh off allowing 20 three-pointers to Portland last game.
