The college hoops slate for December 11th might be one of the softest we’ve had to date. A handful of buy games, one rivalry matchup, and a bit of mid-major madness is all we’re getting on tonight’s schedule. This is true deep-sea diving, but that’s what we do best at SGPN. We’ve dug extra deep and found three college basketball picks that you’ll want to lock up for tonight.

Perfect 3-0 Cards: 8-30
Alabama State at Missouri
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Alabama State comes into this matchup with a 3-5 overall record and a 4-3 record ATS. The Hornets are 1-5 overall on the road, but 3-2 against the spread.
Missouri enters this game with an 8-2 overall record and a 7-0 record at home. The Tigers are 4-6 against the spread, but have a 3-4 home record ATS.
Missouri comes into this game off back-to-back losses. The Tigers were hung with a five-point loss against Notre Dame and a 20-point loss to Kansas. They get to face Alabama State after five days off. The Hornets are one of the better teams in the SWAC this year, but this is still a SWAC team coming into an SEC building. Missouri needs to get back on track, and everything is pointing to a beatdown.
Missouri has a top-40 offense in the country, size and length on the defensive end, and should come into this game with a chip on their shoulder. Alabama State has got athletes, but they aren’t nearly as efficient on either end as the Tigers are. This is also played in Columbia, MO. The Hornets have to play on yet another unfamiliar floor.
Alabama State has been chippy against New Mexico and UT-Martin, but they lost to Florida State by 37 and to Colorado by 28. Missouri is better than both programs and should win this one by 30. Let’s lock up the Tigers to roll against Alabama State and cover the number.
Best Bet: Missouri -22.5
St. Joseph’s at Syracuse
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
This game will be played at a neutral site at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV.
St. Joseph’s comes into this matchup with a 6-3 overall record, but is 2-6 against the spread.
Syracuse enters this game with a 5-3 record overall and has a 5-3 record against the spread.
Syracuse is also coming into this matchup off the big win against Tennessee. They haven’t played a game since December 2nd. St. Joseph’s also has a bit more familiarity with this building. They played against UNLV in the same arena on November 20th.
Syracuse came out of the gate to the 2025-26 season on fire. They wrecked Binghamton, Delaware State, and Drexel before getting tested by Monmouth. After that, they headed to the Players’ Era Tournament and managed to clip Tennessee.
St. Joes has been up and down this season, but they’re a really good free-throw shooting team, and they don’t turn the ball over much. Syracuse’s defensive metrics have them ranked as one of the better defensive teams in the nation, but we saw them struggle against a Monmouth team that isn’t as good as St. Joseph’s. Also, the Orange have been off for over a week after the big win against Tennessee. They could be feeling themselves off the win and haven’t been playing. There’s a non-zero chance that Syracuse gets off to a slow start in their first competitive game in a while.
The neutral site, combined with Syracuse coming in a little overrated off an extended rest, makes this a solid spot for a capable St. Joes team. The Hawks keep this one close and hang with Syracuse. Let’s take St. Joe’s and the points to get home in this game.
Best Bet: St. Joseph’s +12.5
North Dakota State at Cal State-Bakersfield
Start Time: 9:30 PM EST
North Dakota State comes into this game with a 7-3 overall record, but is 1-3 on the road this year. The Bison have a 5-3 ATS record, but are 2-2 ATS on the road.
Cal-State Bakersfield enters this matchup with a 4-6 overall record and a 3-0 home record. The Roadrunners are 3-6 ATS this year, but 1-1 at home against the spread.
Cal-State Bakersfield is undefeated at home, but their home wins are against Western Illinois, Mississippi Valley State, and a lower division opponent. CSUB has a road win against Fresno State as their best win of the year, but everything else is decidedly mediocre. They’ve looked good against punching bags, but get rolled whenever they have to play a ‘real’ opponent.
North Dakota State has the better roster and measures out as the better team in almost every key metric. The Bison are better at both ends of the floor. They have the better shooting and can get after their opponents on the defensive end. North Dakota State lost its first two games of the season to Oregon State and UC-Davis on the road, but they took Arkansas State to overtime and won outright against Montana. Let’s close out the night with the better team playing better basketball. North Dakota State wins and covers.
Best Bet: North Dakota State -6.5
