Well, this is it. We’ve reached the last UFC event of 2025, marking the final UFC event under their partnership with ESPN. And it’s fitting that it’s a Fight Night from the UFC Apex. Pay attention, Paramount+ executives. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 112, I’m in on a grizzled vet on the prelims. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

UFC Fight Night: Royval vs Kape (aka UFC Vegas 112)
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST (ESPN2/ESPN+)
I don’t usually make picks based on betting lines, but in this case I sorta am. That’s because the number beside Neil Magny’s name is just too big to pass up.
For all intents and purposes, the 38-year-old Magny, with 44 pro MMA fights on his resume, should be on his way out. Yet, he’s won two straight fights, both via finish. Plus, he’s facing a debuting fighter, Yaroslav Amosov, who is very talented but is entering the UFC after having fought extensively in Bellator. We’ve seen plenty of former Bellator fighters slip up in their UFC debuts and/or go on to fizzle out in the big show. Magny is a live dog.
