Last week was the first week in weeks that I didn’t sweep the board. Maybe it’s my own fault for picking against my Bears, but the Eagles didn’t take care of business. The Broncos did survive their scare, at least. It’s fourteen weeks in now, and I hope you’re still surviving! We’ve had a winner every week and are looking to keep the action going as we advance in our leagues. Let’s take a look at the Week 14 NFL Survivor picks! The end is near!
As a reminder, I’m giving out two locks each week, in case you’ve already used the first one. I’m also giving out a contrarian dog play that I think will hit to try and give you an advantage over your league mates!

The Lock: Seattle Seahawks
The easiest pick for your NFL Survivor picks in Week 14 is the Seattle Seahawks. This is just a situational spot of taking a good team against a not-so-good team. The Seahawks haven’t just been road warriors. They’ve been solid all year.
They’re currently 5-1 on the road straight up. The Falcons aren’t exactly great at home, either. They’ve gone 2-3 straight up at home. Kirk Cousins has been hit and miss, and they’re coming off a loss to the New York Jets, where they just ran out of steam.
They have good players, and the pieces are there. Bijan Robinson and Drake London are great offensive players. The defense has a lot of young talent that’s coming together. However, this Seattle team is on a different level. Even in a game like last week, where their top offensive player, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, was held to only 23 yards, they still won 26-0.
The Seahawks are 9-3, and after the Panthers upset the Rams last week, they have to keep their foot on the gas to try to steal the division. Not to mention, the 49ers are right on their heels at 9-4.
Another Confident Pick: Denver Broncos
The other lock for your NFL survivor picks in Week 14 is the Denver Broncos. They survived their overtime scare last week against the Washington Commanders. It was a game that should have been an easy win. However, sometimes in the locker room, having to come together and fight for a win like that really sets a team back on track.
That’s exactly what I think will happen for the Denver Broncos as they take on one of the NFL’s worst teams. They are sitting at 10-2 and are hoping to gain on New England and grab the number one seed. This week, the 2-10 Raiders stand in their way.
Yes, it’s a division rival, and division rival home dogs are at times a thorn in the side. These two played last week in November in Denver. Denver won, but just barely, escaping with a 10-7 win. I think they’ll want to prove they aren’t going to just skate by and barely win these easier games.
An Underdog Pick: Houston Texans
Finally, let’s take a look at an underdog pick that maybe nobody else is looking at. The team I’m circling on the NFL Survivor picks in Week 14 to pull off the upset is the Houston Texans. I can count on just one hand on fingers without arthritis, how many times the Chiefs have impressed me this year.
The Texans, on the other hand, are a different story. I’m starting to believe in them. Sure, the offensive line still isn’t great. However, that defense is leading the league in many statistical categories. The Chiefs have lost three of their last four games. In each of those three losses, Mahomes was sacked three times. The Texans have 19 total sacks in the last four games.
I think the Texans’ front seven will make life uncomfortable for Mahomes and the Chiefs and will be able to control the narrative of this game. Therefore, I think the Texans can win this game. It’s tough to pick against the Chiefs, but it has worked out in half of their games this year.
