For a defending Super Bowl champion squad that is sitting at 8-3, there sure is a lot of drama swirling around this edition of the Philadelphia Eagles for some reason. Imagine if their record was 3-8! The NFC East-leading Eagles host the NFC North leaders, the 8-3 Chicago Bears, tomorrow afternoon for a special Thanksgiving Friday (if that’s a thing) afternoon game.
Despite having identical records and sitting atop their respective divisions, these are not two teams on even planes. The Bears are getting by on smoke and mirrors, as they’ve been outscored by their opponents this season, have a terrible defense, and a negative advanced stat rating. Playing the easiest schedule in the NFC (and second easiest in the NFL) has definitely cleared the path to the top for them.
My line for tomorrow is Philadelphia -10.5, so I like the Eagles to cover at home.
