Colorado Avalanche vs Nashville Predators
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
I’m keeping it simple with my goal scorer selections tomorrow – I’m taking the two hottest players in the league. It isn’t rocket science (although if they keep scoring at this rate, one of them might win the Rocket Richard Trophy as the league’s top scorer).
Hot player #1 would be the Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon. MacKinnon has a league-best 16 goals this season, including nine over his last 10 games.
Dallas Stars vs Calgary Flames
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
Hot player #2 plays for the Dallas Stars, who head to Calgary tomorrow night to face the Flames. The Flames’ offense is anemic, but more importantly for our play, they also have a mediocre defense.
So we’re taking Jason Robertson, who, just like MacKinnon, has nine goals over his last 10 games. Robertson has always been a consistent scorer for the Stars, and with 12 goals in 21 games, he’s on pace for his third 40+ goal season.
